Hi! I'm back!
Unfortunately, not always have free time to make some craft... But I'm happy to get back on my track!

This is my first non-totally cute ATC! I have this image for some time -I cut it from a soap envelope- and didn't know what to do with it... I imagine these two girls returning home from they first outing to the movie alone, so, I needed a dark enviroment for it, like nightfall, and for the first time I dared to darken a piece of cardstock with watercolor. And I liked how it turned out! Then, I only had to recreate an scenery for they -using the current Unscripted Sketches no. 47 - and that's it!

Sunday project and some exciting news!

Hi! It's Sunday again, and that means it's time for another Sunday project -which it's usually a 3D project.

But first, I want to share with you an exciting news related with today's project: I started to sell my creations in a stationary store near home. Since I'm making a lot of notebooks and cards lately and don't know what to do with all this stuff, I had the idea to show them to the stationary store owner and she was delighted and very interested in get some for sale on the store!!! I was jumping for joy!
So, today's project were two exhibitors, one for my little 6x9cm cards and one for my notebooks.

This is the card's exhibitor (I love this template!).
It can hold 10 of them or 5 with their envelopes .
I was playing again with the notes of the scored paper and the title "Little notes" ('notitas' in sp)

And this is the notebook's exhibitor. It can also hold ten notebooks.
As it's bigger and suppose to hold more weight, I've variated a little bit the template for security.

I was working today in two more ATCs. Unfortunately, I didn't became happy with the final results. I was inspired in the current Unscripted Sketch no. 45, but I don't go to present this cards in the challenge because in neither case succeeds in the sketch.

This one is completely made with my drawings.

And this one use Toga's patterned papers.

Hello there! How's going your week?

We had a nature's big present this past monday: a huge and wonderful Snowfall! It was like a storm, with crazy wind and a lot of snowflakes all day long. As this one has been the first Snow we had since arrived here, two years ago, you can imagine how I enjoy it! Of course, I went outside and took a few pictures for share this joy with you, although I know by now you all are tired of snow around you!

This is me with the snow up to my ankles (and a big smile!)

The wind don't allow me to open my eyes!

This is how the streets looked covered with the whiteness.

And this is me, again, enjoying a hot tea in my room after the ride. You can see the lamentable state of the pine forrest near my window after the snowfall. The pines could not resist the temporal and many of them fell down. So sad!

And for my craft, I've been working in this little bath set for get the spring spirit into my tiny bathroom. Love it!

ATCs keeper

Hi! It's Sunday again! Don't you just love Sundays? It's a day full of promises for the week!

I usually find myself with a lot of energy in this days, and I like to use it in some 3D project. It's the kind of challenge that I appreciate!
Today's project was this box for storage my ATCs. I've been making a lot of this lovely cards lately and I've come to need something for keep them clean and save. I know the custom is to keep them in a traditional cardkeeper, like this one, where you can see them like in a gallery, but I don't have it, and -you know- I love to make my own stuff!
For make the box, I've recycled some medicine boxes, and for decorate it used comun A4 orange color paper, Toga's patterned paper and two beautiful brads from Artemio.be.

So, here you have my completly new, simple and shiny -just my style- ATC's keeper, in my lately fav Orange color:

Today's ATC came with another of my drawings: a contemplative little bunny.

I used the Clean & Simple layout no. 80. The funny circle background -even imperfect- is inspired by THIS creation of Kristen Powers and the little bunny was born inspired by THIS beautiful cards created by Sarah, from Sara's Paper Tray. After all, Lucy's current challenge is about been inspired!

Yesterday I saw THIS video (she's so talented!) and was all night dreaming with that cute owl stunned with all the books he had to study... It's so funny idea! So, today I was playing with the idea an got these two notebooks... I still have to improve the technique but I love how fun they look!

When I finished those two notebooks I was still in mood for make something more and finally created this one with a cat enjoying the lamp's light. Love that kind of antiques lamps and the idea of the light and shadow, but the cat's drawing still can be improved... (Remember 'till now I don't stamp. All the images in my projects are hand-drawing by me)

Anyway, I enjoyed making this one too!

Blog's makeup update

I'm the kind of person who likes changes. Changes are always a garanty of renovation. They makes me feel like reborn... And this blog is not an exception in my life.
In these two days I've been changing everything here 'till I found this orangy template (I love Orange!). All my crafty energy and free time were focussed in this changes and there was no extra time for another crafty project...

Now, almost all settings are made in the blog and I can comeback to my manual craft.

Hope to be back soon with more projects to share with you!

Dreams Diary (masculine gift)

Hi! How was your week? Mine was very busy... but as you have seen, I've found some free time almost everyday for a little crafting and it feels so good!

Yesterday, I made these two notebooks for a friend. He told me he needs a notebook for take notes in conferences, so I made this first one really simple, with a space in the cover for write the subject.

And the second one is a little more complicated. He is a big dreamer, I mean, he dreams a lot, almost every night, and always remember the content of his dreams very clearly. That's why I decided to make for him this 'Dreams Diary'... Blue and shiny like I imagine is the world of Dreams...

I added a 'number 1' tag, 'cause I presume he will fill these 40 pages very soon and then I'll be making a second one...

In Spring, Sakura!

Second post for today... I'm still thinking in the proximity of Spring...

The cherry blossom ('Sakura' in Japanese), which in spring full prolifically every city in Japan only for one or two weeks, is one of their national symbols and represents for them the most pristine beauty as well as the impermanence of the ephemeral life. When reaches the flowering cherry's season, Japanese go for a walk or sit in the parks under the trees to watch it full of flowers. This is a beautiful custom called "Hanami" and is one of the most enjoyable I know.

This is what I'm talking about!

Today, with the advance of the Spring in my window, I made a new ATC based on the sketch no. 57 of Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, using origami paper with the image of Sakura and a representation of one of these flowers (although they are usually white) as the focal point of the card.

This is the original sketch. It looks so simple! But was more difficult to do than I thought.

Spring in advance

Throughout Iberian Peninsule is freezing, snowing or, at least, raining a lot... However here, in Barcelona, is almost Spring! Blue sky, nice weather... even you can see some flies! This seems nice, but I really love snow and this Winter I've not seen a single snowflake (unless those of my cards). So, it's a little sad for me this advanced of Spring... I hoped to see fall at least a little snow before it reached!
So, in this mood I made another ATC, this time using the Unscripted Sketch no. 43. I think it turned out not bad but, don't know... Maybe too yellow?

This is the original (great) sketch, wich I rotated a little bit...

I think I can try one more card for it!

Hi! Happy Sunday! (How I love to say that!)

In current times save money at banks is completly necessary, but save some coins in a money-box at home is always a good idea. More than once, this coins pull me out of a hurry!
My Sunday project has been this money-box based on Feng Shui. Actually it's not a box, but a sweet corn empty can covered with my favorite musical patterned paper (an allusion in this case to the sound of coins falling into the can).

According to Feng Shui's theory, to attract money to your house you need to use red and golden colors, and metal or metalized materials too. The front focal point in my project is a chinese letter that means "Metal" or "Money", and I cut it in golden metalized cardstock...

This upper view shows the paper flower decoration... A reminder of life's beauties!

Just another notebook. My first one in pink...
I didn't like too much this cardboard pale pink for a notebook. It's too sweetie! Maybe it's perfect for a new-born baby girl card but not for a notebook... But, since I have this lovely papers, I had to try it. And I love the final result!

I combined stripes and spots in the cover for the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge no. 24.
(I simply adore my new brads. They're perfect for buttons!)

Hope you all have had a great Valentine's Day!

Since yesterday (at night after a lovely day), I've been working in this set of six ATC's for a friend. It's my first complete set of cards, including envelopes and a card-keeper, and I could say I'm satisfied. I know a traditional set must include similar cards, but I really liked to make each card unique.

This is the card-keeper closed and opened.

I wrote a sentiment only in one of the cards, because I want to give my friend the chance to use each card in any case she wants to. Hope my friend like it!

Mini Birthday-card

Looking at other blogs on the internet I found a small, delicious cards called ATC. I didn't know how they were, nor what was meant by 'ATC', so I searched on Wikipedia and found an interesting article on the origins of these cards, size and much more.
On first reading I could not believe it ... They are so small! Only 6x9 cm! How is possible to work and make so many beautiful things in a very small bit of cardboard?
However, I liked the idea. It seemed an interesting challenge for me.
Today I finally made my first ATC, using for the first time a Mojo Monday sketch and... I felt in love with this little thing!

Sei Shonagon meets the Butterfly

Did you ever hear about Sei Shonagon? She was one of the first women that wrote literature in Japan, who lived between 966 and 1017 . Her beautifully written diary "The pillow book" is well known all over the world, and there is also a Peter Greeneway's homonym film based in her writings.

Well, here is my pick of Sei Shonagon - it's my original drawing based on antique japanese style- while watching a butterfly. Who knows? Perhaps at that moment she found some inspiration for her writings!

Here is the complete card. I used polka dot paper for Lucy's Challenge no. 5.

I found this cute-cute owl idea in Momiji's blog some days ago.

Since then, this little owl keep flying around me 'till I put him in papers (I feel this owl is a "he").

So, I made this tag or bookmark using his image with polka dot paper (for Lucy's Challenge no. 5) and golden cherry blossom's origami paper ...

...and this envelope-organizer for my scrap's templates.

Hi! Happy Sunday to all of you!
Today I want to show you two more of my latest notebooks.
I made this both inspired for this CPS sketch , using my new papers from Toga and a lot of glitter for the letters.

I used the cutted rest of papers for make little pockets for the inside cover in both of them.

I'm still making improvements in my techniques for make this kind of notebooks, but I love how this both turned off: simple and shining! Just my fav style!

Waterfall Albums

Since I saw the waterfall technique for cards, I love it. So easy and funny!
I really like this kind of objects you can play with.

Using that same technique, I made these waterfall albums that show you today.
Funny, right?

In this pink album, the curly pattern from the cover and the inside papers is created and stamped by me. (yeah!)
The cover graph paper is from Toga.

The papers I used for this orange album are from Toga.

The inside patterned papers in this blue album are stamped for me too.
The cover is made with origami paper.

There is a challenge in Scrapblog (sorry, the site is only Spanish): they give a tutorial for make an album and we can choose the topic. The project is really simple and with a lot of possibilities. So, I was working on it and finally I got not an album but a cute notebook (you know I love notebooks) and, although it was a little bit late, I sent my notebook's pictures...

Yesterday, they began to post the accepted projects and, today, there was mine too!

I'm so happy!

I know, it's not my first challenge, but I feel this like something special.

A last minute present.

A dear male-friend who did not see for a long time called me last Friday night to tell me that yesterday (Sunday) would come to town to spend the day with us. What could I do? Prepare a gift for men always get me in trouble, and on such a short notice seemed impossible!

All day Saturday went off and I found not a gift idea for my friend. Just at night occurred to me that a card keeper (for banks cards) would be a nice present. Then I remembered this simple and quickly method to make an envelopes album that had seen some time ago and I set to work. Made some adaptations to the original method (actually, I only used the idea of attach quickly the envelopes with tape), used origami papers (they are always beautiful) for decorate it and in one hour, more or less, was over.

I put his initials in the cover.

It has six pages, each one with envelopes in both sides... So, he can keep twelve cards in it!

What do you think? (my friend loves it!)

I'm starting some Shakespeare's Studies... so, I urgently needed a notebook for this purpose. But it is Shakespeare, and such an important author deserves not any notebook, right? What should I do?
I was thinking about it for the last two days and finally got my first altered notebook...

As Christmas presents, I made these little memo pads (because I love notebooks and similars), and I would like to share with you.

It’s so cold in this old Europe!

A Paper Christmas (with a paper Christmas Wreath Tutorial)

I’ve been busy these days preparing Christmas presents, but even so I’ve found time to make some ornaments for our home, like this Christmas Tree based in Tracey Mason’s design (although hers is ten millions times more beautiful than mine!):

I used two kinds of wrapping paper (same design different color) for the “triangle leaves” and a piece of cardboard for the interior cone. For the star: golden cardboard. Also put some golden glitter (with glitter pen) in the curled white ends… and that’s all! Really easy and funny project… and it looks great! Thanks Tracey!

With the rests of paper I made a Christmas Wreath and, although simple, decided to share this “tutorial” with you.

1. Cut a ring from a strong cardboard using your desired measure for your wreath (doesn’t have to be perfect!)

2- Cut several leaves of paper, each one with a slit like the one shown in the picture. Put a glue drop in one side of the slit and paste on the other side.

3- Put another glue drop in the bottom of these end of the leaf and paste on the cardboard ring as shown in the picture.

4- As your goal is cover all the cardboard ring, paste one leaf in the center, one to the left and one to the right… and so on.

And that’s all!

Finally, decorate as you like… (Everything I used in this wreath is paper and cardboard… nothing else!)

Finally I made some red and green card for Christmas.
It was fun to work with the sketch 40 of 2 Sketches 4 you ... The idea came out smoothly and, although it was laborious, at all times was a pleasure.

I was trying of recreate the flower pattern of the green paper in the red cardboard with glitter.

As I didn't be completly happy with my first attempt on Unscripted Sketch 32, I made a second card different at all... and now I'm happy!!! I enjoy to make this card from the simple idea 'til the end.

As you can see, I love glitter!
On this card I used a lot. Made several lines of glitter in the patterned paper, in the tree and even in that dotted tag… For the glitter frame around the tree, I used the glitter’n tape technique that Tresa Black recently explained in this video.

This card is based on Crazy for Challenge Sketch # 12.

I don't know why my camera doesn't take the real colors. In this card, the background is aqua, and the outer circles and the central ornament are dark pink (no red). Believe me, it looks much better "in person".

My first Challenges

I'm taking my first challenges in this virtual world of scrapbooking.
Lucy - an excellent scrap’s artist, has proposed a challenge: make a card using as main colors pale pink, aqua and kraft. Since I saw it, I've been mulling over the materials I have and ... here are the result: not classics colors for a beautiful and elegant Christmas card.

And this card also enter in Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge n. 92...

Supplies:
- Pale pink, Blue and dark Pink papers are from Toga's "Le Petit Bloc".
- White and kraft cardboard from some kid's manual kit.
- Liquid glue.
- Glitter pen.

Getting ready for December

For a long time I didn’t understand the need for some type of December’s "conventional" customs as gifts or cards to compliment ... but it was enough begin to do them with my own hands instead of buying, to realize their full meaning. It is the time of joy, the joy which comes from the heart, which is shared with pleasure.

But we are still in November, it is true ... and you know what I love about November? That is time to prepare for December! It is one of the most creative months of the year for me and this year is no different. I have several projects in hands and others already completed.
Let’s begin with the greeting cards. Today I bring you two of them very simple but made with love, just to getting warm.

Yes, I do. I really prefer to write in some notebook born from my hands and my heart, even imperfect, that write in some impersonal one made by some impersonal machine.
I’m so glad to present you today my latest creation in this field:

I made it in the easiest way: folding by half 20 sheets of A4 printing white paper, cutting an according piece of strong cardboard for the cover and stapling everything together. For decorate the cover, I used a piece of brown paper and a piece of fine origami paper (I love the contrast between the rough and the delicate), and the figure of a beautiful girl that I found in my soap envelope. And that’s it.

Tips:
-When you fold several sheets one inside the other, the outer border became irregular, so –and this is the hardest part-, you have to cut it. As I don’t have yet an ideal instrument for this like a paper cutter, I have to do it with my scissors, measuring the sheets one by one. Primitive, I know, but it works!
-For emphasize the flowers (if you don’t want it simple plane), put one drop of transparent liquid glue over each one.

Fall Leave = Elegant Card

Since I saw this tutorial video in the blog “God bless your Art”, I couldn't wait to try it by myself.

As I don’t have any stamp yet (like the one used in the video), I drew with a pencil the outer line in a light green paper and cut it carefully with scissors. To colour, I make little hits with some water color pens in a cotton disc (from my make-up removal set) and used like the sponge in the video. Finally, I drew the central curved figure with transparent glue and a fine brush, and sprinkle some glitter in (‘cause I love glitter effects).

The final results are simply amazing. My husband thought the leave was a real one!

Ideal for an elegant autumnal card. Don’t you think?
